Yes. Tenant admins can issue tokens with explicit operation scopes that limit which tools and operations each token can use. An API token can also be limited to specific service providers or groups, and every operational BroadWorks command is checked against those limits before it is sent. These limits apply to API tokens and to OAuth connector sign-ins, which carry the limits set on their connected admin login. They can also configure per-BroadWorks-login-type policies so user, group, service-provider, reseller, provisioning, and system sessions each get a separate ceiling.

Commands vary between BroadWorks releases. For Dialplane's logical operations (the operations API and its MCP tool), when a server does not recognize a newer request version, Dialplane tries the older versions it knows and remembers the one that works for that server. Direct REST resource routes and raw OCI passthrough send the request version as given. If a command your release needs is missing, open a support ticket and we'll look at adding it.

SurgeMail is a selectable add-on tier. Once enabled for your tenant, admins can save and test the connection, provision mailboxes from BroadWorks Voice Messaging User state, and run backup or sync workflows.
